Looking forward to what you will have to offer for the SD9 Pro... wondering if all the nice things you have to offer for SD7 and Audya will also make it to the SD9

Style and sound wise, my Audya 76 is still king, IMO. I would also like to know how the SD9 compares.

Cant wayt to find out myself Bernie...

And if its only an Audya with an improved user interface... even then it will be brilliant.... i dont think soundquallity needs to improve much further on the Audya's indeed...

Listening to the old demos, there are many new midi style loops, audio drum & guitar style loops that are not on the Audya.

I also hear new guitar voices amongst others that are not on the Audya. Thus the Audya will no longer be able to compete. This will indeed be the new Ketron flagship.

Yet still it would be awesome if we can get all the audya drums (confirmed) live guitars and percussion loops converted to the SD9.... sometimes more is better...

"This will indeed be the new Ketron flagship."

If they don't make another Audya, I guess it will have to be by default, but that would mean eliminating Audya features and adding more loops. No thanks.

This is just a cursory opinion based only on first glances:
Less polyphony-I know, it is used more efficiently.
no organ drawbars-just mix sliders
less styles-300 vs Audya 334(plus AJAM)
one mic output-vs 2
one line in-vs 2
no sub or aux outs-vs 4
Txt files ?
Plastic or metal case ? Weighs about three lbs less.

AJ said some time ago that the SD9 is not a replacement for the Audya. but the SD7. However, I am sure it is a great keyboard in many respects. I guess I am too old for the loopty loops they are pushing. I did see that CDG files are read. I use that on my Pa4X quite often.

Maybe AJ can give us a quantitative analysis and, whether they have ditched the veritable Audya.

I dont think Ketron ever ditches anything, many of the venerable pre audya SD instruments are still listed on their website as active products...

Not having drawbars nor having drawbar simulation, definately is a minus for me, love playing the organs on my arrangers...
