They provide software with which to modify styles and even keep these up to date.

Ketron does NOTHING of the sort. To the contrary, they go out of their way to make sure that only a selected few can contribute to making new styles, all copy protected & none of it free.

I think the above accurately sums up the situation.

I think the SD9 should change that...

Not so sure about that...

Time will tell - I certainly hope that you are right! I have very few negative things to say about Ketron, but this unfortunately is one of them.

Seems you can import your own midi sequences as phrases, and your own audio drum loops...

There is also 700MB for samples... tough this is where they might decide to keep that for Ketron Company sample packs only...

Maybe its different in the USA, but in the UK 99% of our customers are professional users, they do not read industry magazines, they do not participate on forums, they do not use facebook other than for family matters and are busy working 7 nights a week. We used to have an official Ketron forum in the UK. We had only a handfull of UK members, despite trying to encourage them to use it - almost all were from mainland Europe and the USA wanting to know how to do this or that. In the end we closed it as we realised we were taking up a huge ammount of time looking after european internet sellers customers.
