Thanks guys. Kawliga was originally a Hank Williams song. My favorite version is by Ronnie Milsap, and I had the pleasure of hearing him do it live twice. He puts on a wonderful show, climbing on top of his piano with a mic in hand and getting precariously close to the edge. That's pretty adventurous for a blind person!
Not trying to steal this post btw, but it's all relative, sort of. smile

First time I saw Ronnie, he was on a show with Charlie Pride and Merle Haggard. Merle was the headliner and the other two were relatively new, but they nearly stole the show. Then Merle came out and did about two dozen number one hits without even pausing between songs!
When he mentions Hawk, that is, or was at least, his drummer.
At one time, I could hold that note that long too. Not any more. smile

Hi Rog,
Basically it's a style conversion program, converts one brand of keyboard style to another.
Used to use it years back , when I was forever swapping keyboards. Gave me a sense of security that if I swapped boards, I could at least have some of the styles.
Don 't think I ever used them, the new keyboards always had better styles. Haha

In the last few years I haven't used it because the new styles are too complex . The few I had tried converting needed too much work to bother with.

I got far better results converting them manually from a midifile.
I have a few core style conversions that I tweak up each time I upgrade my Korgs.

Only reason I mentioned it was, just in case you had the odd song style you hadn't found a replacement for. Some of the yammie song styles appeared to convert ok , compared to the factory style conversions.

Brilliant Don

Actually I didn't recognise the song title, but after hearing it, I remember it from way back.

Don,

Enjoyed your Kaw Liga version. I think I'm going to have to learn to upload songs as many of you do.

After listening to Don's version, I tried out a number of styles on my 4X and found a number of styles that I think worked well. Settled on a version of Easy Strumming that I edited as a favorite.

On another note, one of my concerns when I got the 4X, was for songs with 'specialized' styles.

But the more I use the 4X, the more versatile I find it to be. Just love all the options for live play and styles on the 4X.

Never say never, but I'm thinking I may have found the keyboard(my 4X) that I will be playing the rest of my gigging days. smile

Tx Rikki again for the info.
