Has anyone found a problem with the four one touch settings remembering the voice assigned to them in a style or reg?

Problem is if you edit a voice and save it as a user voice then assign it to a style or reg.... then if you edit another user voice and save that one ...then the fist one changes location and does not appear in the original four touch selection.

Does anyone know if there is a way to stop this.

Thanks

John.

John,
This happened after I installed the Gold Package. AJ said they were working on a fix. I uninstalled the Gold Package and I no longer have the problem.

Hi Deane
I have not got the gold package installed
so this is a bit strange.

Have you edited any sounds and placed them into the user sounds
and are using them as one touch settings?

This is my second SD7 as I returned the first one because of
problems I was having with it.

That was quite a few months ago and I thought all the bugs would be Ironed out by now but last night I got a lock up when I turned it on and a blank blue screen .... also left octave set itself at 244 which is physically impossible to do on the machine yourself.

John,

Yes, I have edited sounds and use them in one touch settings. I have not had any issues doing that. When I installed the Gold Package I had the problem of sounds being substituted for those I had selected and saved. AJ said that was because the new sounds in the Gold Package had memory locations the same as the sounds I had selected.

Funny, I had to return my original SD7 too. It had a bad hard drive kit. AJ replaced the keyboard and now all is great.

I have to say, the SD7 is the best of all the keyboards I have ever owned. That includes many Korgs, Rolands, and Yamahas.

Oh yes, did you do the most current OS update?

Hi Deane

Yes I have the latest OS.
If you save an edited sound into user sounds it is saved alphabetically meaning all your previously saved sounds in that bank will move location and your one touch settings will not contain the sound you initially put there.
You will need to put a number before each edited sound to have it remain in the same slot.

John,
That is very interesting. I have not had that issue. I'll look into it.

The SD7 saves and associates locations to registrations, styles...etc so if you want to maintain a certain list (voice, style), then putting numbers before the names ensures this.

This way, if you load new voices, the order of the list (to which your registrations are associated with) are maintained.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
