4 different arranger setups, for the 4 big brands
Question : what STYLE do you like most

Ketron Audya :

Yamahah Tyros :

Korg PA4x : Starts at 5:35 (short)

Roland BK7m : couldnt find any Roland keyboards doing this song, so its (just) a midi file on a bk7m...

Just choose your favorite Style (or self created Midi file)

Well, there are two things here. First the style of play is not the same on each keyboard. Second, how close to the original it is being played.

The ONLY one I liked was the Ketron Audya because it was nearly identical to the original and the sounds were really good.

For Just for overall sound these are my favorites.
Ketron
PA4X

Ketron, way in front of the rest - sounds like Glen Miller.
Korg, not bad but I thought it would be better than that.
Roland, not a style but a midi file still, 3rd best sound.
Yamaha, disappointing and these are bought in registration too
definitely the worst.

Hi

The Ketron sounds the best to me.
Don ' t know the functions on the audya, but to me it looked like he was playing along to a backing track/ midifile?
Style of playing looked different to korg & yamaha players.

Yes, but only minimally. The vast majority of it he played. I used to subscribe to him, and forgot his name, but he is super good,

I feel the Ketron is way out front but I how was each recorded. As good as the Ketron is it sounds like it was not recorded in the same manner. Anyone here that owns both a Ketron, and either a Tyros, Pa4x, or a Roland? Would like your opinion.

there is a reason, people with very expensive Wersi organs are using a Ketron module on top of that... there is even a video around of someone (The Solitaire) building a ketron SD7 inside a 50.000 euro Wersi louvre..

And those organs are VST sound quallity... i think the italians are the masters of creating styles that feel alive... They put their emotions in everything, their work, their fammily and their music..

The styles on the Ketron just sound more advanced then even the pa4x..

Not based entirely on this on these video´s but also on mall the other examples on the web i would say

1) ketron
2) korg
3) Yamaha
4) Roland

My sister has a G_70 and every style needs some edditing before it sounds right to my ears.. she is in the process of upgrading to a used audya...

Hi. Bernie,
The audya player is really good, but it didn't appear to me that he was playing in what I would think of as in Arranger Mode?
There were times were he didn't appear to be triggering chords ?
It made the performance sound more authentic. He also appeared to play the intro , which sort of Set the Mood ( excuse the pun) haha.

Even though the korg actually has an intro for the song, it sounds a tad off to me.

Be interesting to hear what the korg sounded like if played by the same guy.

Only knew one person who was able to play in full keyboard mode. Brilliant pianist to boot.
Able to include piano runs and fills in his arranger performance. Also managed to sell me my 8 technics keyboards. One could dream. haha.
