Yup - compared to the newer Mackies, the A&H stuff is built so much better. Knobs are bolted right to the chassis, and not just attached to the circuit boards ... more stable, solid. The effects are much cleaner too. Mackie used to be the one to beat, but outsourcing has brought the quality down a few notches.
I recommend the A&H mixers to anyone I talk to.

I also have the A&H Zed 60-10fx that I keep in my studio. It is definitely a quality mixer, but then, A&H has always had a great reputation.

Update: the A&H ZED-6fx is a big Two Thumbs up..!!
it's just what everyone said it is....a Top Notch Mixer w/ Fx in every way.
looking into getting the A&H ZED 10fx also for the studio also.
