Would anyone happen to remember a song that was a hit many years ago about Noah's ark? I can only recall a few lines about a green alligator, some long neck geese, a humpty-backed camel and some chimpanzees. It goes on about other animals and finishes up with something about the loviest of them all was the unicorn. If anyone can come up with the name, I'm sure I could find it on the net and surprise my grandkids with the song. Thanks y'all. Bud

Thanks Gunnar! That was exactly the one. I don't know why it popped into my memory after all these years, but now that I have the words and music, I can have closure and get it out of my head. I'll email the url to my daughter and have her play it for the grandkids. You came to my rescue again....have a great day! Bud

Hey Bud...you know, to really impress your grandkids, you should learn the dance moves for this song.

I might pay to see that!

Larry, it's good to see your name on the posts again. You must be doing what I'm doing - looking in to read the posts, then leaving without saying anything. Sometimes I only have time for a quick look once in a while because I let other things get in my way. Oh well. I didn't know there was any particular dance moves to that song, and with my sore back, it wouldn't matter anyway. But, back in the old days at the Walled Lake Casino I could hold my own on the dance floor. Ahhh, sweet memories!

Bud,

While doing this dance, you have to simulate the animals mentioned in the song.

Funny stuff, especially for those first timers.

By the way, I only thought Swabbies could dance.

Roger, I would probably use the Irish Jig put out by Korg at a tempo of 108 and with sounds such as: jazz violin + country fiddle, Klaus's organ + Vox Humana, Harmon mute trumpet + vintage E.P.1, Mouth organ + bagpipe, musette + chanter, bright accordion + bow n' flute, and maybe fiddle + jazz flute, and leave the last memory for a double reed. While looking for the jig style I came upon a perfect style for the old song "Popeye the Sailor Man". Wish I could remember where it was. Maybe a hornpipe.

Larry, I was a swabbie long ago.
