Frank Sinatra Jr. dies of cardiac arrest while on tour ...

The first time I saw him perform was decades ago at the 'Steel Pier' in the OLD Atlantic City ... I walked into a rehearsal he was having with a big band ... I was absolutely impressed with the musicianship and knowledge he exhibited in directing and singing with the band ...
As he got older, he grew to look more and more like Frank Sr. but no one - NO ONE - has Frank Sr.'s voice ...

Another great loss to the music community. RIP Frank Jr.

Tony, ditto to NO ONE has Frank Sr.'s voice

What a terrible place to be; in your successful father’s footsteps.

I think he made the best of it ... he was his father's music director and conductor for years ...

When they had that tribute to Frank Sr. a few weeks back they had some of today's top singers performing his songs ... my wife and I were amazed at how people like John Legend, Harry Connick Jr and others couldn't hold a candle to Frank ...

I don't like Frank because he sings better than I do. I think Frank Jr. had a lot going for him, and he made the best of it. R.I.P.
Nancy sings terribly. I like her.

You just reminded me of how much I used to like the song "Nancy (with the laughing face)". A great tune that one of you singers should do. Here is a little blurb on the background of it.

I've done "Nancy" with an area Philharmonic tribute to Frank.

I've done different things on the tribute programs for several regional Philharmonics....just sang on the Sinatra gigs, played guitar on tributes to chuck Berry, Django, Wes Montgomery, The Ventures and others, vibes (Lionel), Upright (Ray Brown), B-3(Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff-a real favorite).

Interesting gigs that always result in raising a lot of support money. Keeps you on your toes.

My classic rock band is now playing a rock version of this and it goes down well in the bars we play. Such a fun song.

As my band features 2 guitars Bill the lead guitarist and myself replaced the horn parts with guitar harmony.
