Somebody had to have a go, why not me. It was very early this morning so it's a bit shaky in parts.

Not a trace of harmony in sight smile

Regards

Col

Col ... yes I noticed a couple of 'hiccups' but otherwise a nice job ...
Hope you don't mind my joining the party ...
Here's a different take, using an acoustic style and some multi pads ... and just a touch of harmony ...

Morning Tony

I think that's the best vocal I've heard you do, makes a nice change as a Latin version. As for joining in, Mark asked for other versions, we wait with bated breath for the others.

Col

PS The middle eight is a bit of a stretch isn't it, there's always a few notes to make life difficult singer

Col ... Thank you for the kind words ... that 'bridge' would not have been a problem except for a cold and sore throat that crept in during the day ... I would have sung it 1 step lower, but I figured Donny would say I should have sung it in a higher key ... grin wink

Not sure how I am going to get through today's gig, as the cold and sore throat have gotten worse ...

I feel for you Tony! I have dodged the colds and sore throats so far, and it is a miracle, because my grandson, who lives with us, has had strep throat twice in the past month.
Play lots of instrumentals! Being sick isn't an option for us. smile

Thanks, Don ... but instrumentals aren't much of an option when the group - and the AD - are used to hearing vocals ... stay well ...

When I was a kid, my grandmother used to make up a concoction consisting of hot tea, honey and bourbon - worked real well for sore throats. Of course, they now make Jim Bean Honey Bourbon, which you could add to some tea if you wish, or just pour it over ice cubes, which to me, works much better. Give it a try, Tony - might get you through the day.

... hot tea and honey on my way to the gig, Hall's Menthol Eucalyptus cough drops and bottled room temp water during the gig ... it was ALL GOOD ...

The 'hot toddy' sounds good for tonight though ... drink
