Hi,

I imported Grand Piano wav. samples into Yamaha Tyros 2
but got two issues. First the quality of the samples got
very poor (as compare to the original samples) and even
it is a single hit sample but still its coming like a
loop, any solution please?

Hello Kashif,

There are two things that maybe causing the problem:-

1) Is the Tyros 2 using the very latest firmware update?

2) Because the Tyros 1 & 2 operate on a different system to the later models, it could well be the
Grand Piano wav. isn't compatible with the T2.

Sorry! I don't have any answers for your problem but at least you could check these two possible causes and then get some help direct from Yamaha themselves if need be.

Good luck. Audrey

The sound quality depends on the number of zones. If you take one sample per octave, it will sound like a toy. To sample was not a hit you need to edit the sample and inserted into the sample loop property. I did it in Adob Audition 3.0 (Ctrl + P). I did my own piano. It is very difficult but I am happy with the result. No problem.
