The point is obvious. There are more home players than professionals playing these type of keyboards. And Pa4x is more aimed at professionals.

How about enlightening us as to how you define a professional keyboard. Especially when take into consideration there are a lot of us on this forum who make a good living as professional entertainers and musicians, and use the PSR and Tyros series of keyboard to do so. Keep in mind that the vast majority of piano players are also home players, and I suspect that applies to the vast majority of all instrument purchases are made by home players. So, in reality, IMO, there is no such thing as a PRO arranger keyboard - ALL instruments are PRO instruments when played and used by professionals.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Bells and whistles.
I never said you can't play Tyros or s950/970 professionaly. Of course you can.
You can also play some old Casio professionaly too. Or you can whisle professionaly. Why not if you are good at it. That doesn't really matter.
And both keyboards are probably the best in their class. The only difference is one was more designed for home players, more simple, less features. ..etc.
And the other one is more complex with much more features.
I have T5, and it is a home keyboard.
My congratulations to Frank and his store. To bad you are not here in Canada. We have a great health care.
I almost bought T5 from him. But there was an border issue.
Keep selling them.

All Arranger Keyboards are designed specifically for the home hobby player, (They are basically advanced versions of the old easy play features of the electronic organ) but as Gary says, just because it is designed for one type of player doesn’t preclude it from being used by another.

I'm sure Mirza didn't mean home players are not professionals, I think he meant was that more people that have the T5 set-up in a more permmant set-up, less moving it around, I current gig atleast once a week with my T5, even though I don't use the arranger section at all, just for the sounds, Audio Link Wav playback, and the Registration system

I currently use the Korg Pa900 the same way you use the T5. I don't use the arranger... Sounds, playback of WAV files (MP3 on the Korg), and the registration memory.

Now, do I sell the Pa900 to get the Pa4x?
OR
Sell the Pa900 to get the highly positive reviewed Yamaha PSR-S970?!?

Hmmm?!?

If you don't use the arranger features at all why not get a good synth or workstation, Kronos, Motif XF,..

Tough decision! Good luck!

I gotta stop coming to these keyboard forums......and the camera forums too, all this gear is expensive the less I know about new gear the better off I'll be wink

I'm getting a case of Gear Acquisition Syndrome aka GAS. Do I sell my T5-76 and Pa3x-61 then go to a S970 and Pa4x-76..............I know the wise thing to do..........keep what I have.
