I have the Sk1-73 and pair it with a BK 7m. I use it about 25% of the time, especially around the holidays. The BK has better holiday stiles for my taste and the Sk is a great and versatile keyboard.

Perhaps a bit OT...bear with me..

Can you hear the difference?

When I first met Mark, back in 1977, he was playing an original 1959 Les Paul STD, with PAF pickups.

He had paid a bit over $2,500 for the guitar back then.

In 1980, he was offered over $6,500 for the guitar, and yes he did take the offer. Since he's a good friend, I don't ask him about the deal. Reason is, if you know anything about original Les Paul guitars...well you understand what they are selling for today.

Thing is, Mark maintains he can tell the difference between any original Les Paul and something newer.

So, question is, can anyone tell the difference between the original B3 and a copy?

Lots of difference...caused by clicking keys, tone generator movement and the amplifier; usually a leslie, a tone cabinet or both. The difference is much greater when you're playing than when you're listening. All that movement, including the doppler on the horns is hypnotic. 10 feet out as a listener, the clones, both instruments and leslie simulators are pretty good. Just got a Tech 21 leslie pedal that's "tasty".

I love these old B-3's.
