I did not try to convert any styles. I did download a few songs and used them with my KN5000. I made a CD with the KN5000 that included Harlem Nocturne and Unforgettable, which in my opinion were his best work. But, it is entirely possible that the stuff on the web site now was later re-saved with a different keyboard.

something you did wrong. I just downloaded the first file blue hawaii, changed the composer to 3k identifier and it loaded correctly in the 7k. The pattern is actually foxtrot even though the file is called hawaii. It plays fine.

That's exactly what happened to me and it didn't dawn on me until later that the styles have to be upgraded in steps. Duh! I just finished converting a batch of KN1500 styles that must have already been upgraded to the KN3K format and that threw me off. I plead temporary insanity! But, I do have 40 styles in 2 zip files that people can have if they want. Most are rock styles, though.

Well will someone could explain to me

download and unzip the files, load each sub-file (composer, panel etc) into a hex editor and change the code LKE (4C 4B 45) to G K (47 00 4B). Then load each sub-file individually into the 7k and see which go in ok. If any don't strip those out of the sub-file collection because they may prevent a load and give a default initial setup. Then just edit to taste to get a reasonable sound.

This is all from memory since the last time I did exactly this must have been in the days of the 1500 way over 10 years ago collecting those presets not on the kn3000.

Unfortunately I had wiped my original floppy, so I'm not sure what I did wrong as I have done this sort of thing successfully many times before. I tried again following your instructions exactly and it worked fine.

a program that displays and can edit the binary code of any digital file either in hexadecimal (base 16) groups or ascii character groups. Google and you'll find many free ones.
