Henni

Due to preparations for the workshop we just returned from in Orlando Florida, I was slow in responding to your request and I apologies for that.

I have just sent you OS5.0 for Audya, Audya5 and Audya4 to buildtofly@yahoo.com
Please share with those who request it.

In the future, if I am slow to respond, please assume it's because I am a little tied up first - before assuming I am ignoring you (no benefit in the latter).

Thanks,

AJ

Hi AJ,

Unfortunately I'm looking for OS5.2A for those. OS5.0A has the same problem as OS5.3D. Even if I convert an SD7 style, when I import it with Style Compiler, it already has a divide by zero & header problem. Same goes for ANY other style created on the Audya itself.

OS5.2A is the ONLY recent OS that will allow these 3rd party styles to play correct.

Kind regards,

Henni

Tx AJ,

I'll really, but really appreciate OS5.2A for the Audya 4 module. I already have the rest.

Regards,

Henni

Henni,

On 2nd thoughts ... I'll just work on fixing the issue in OS 5.3 and having KETRON release a new OS for the AUDYA series ... as going backwards after loading a later release isn't usually 'wise'.

Please stand by patiently....

Hi AJ,

You KNOW how long that will take & just how unlikely this will be. Can I not have OS5.2 for the Audya 4 only in the interim please? Most of the Audya 76 & Audya 5 users already went this route.

Kind regards,

Henni

Henni,

I'll forward OS5.2 to you as soon as I can locate a copy, however I will also caution that if you have installed a higher OS (e.g. 5.3) and you choose to go back to OS5.2, you'll be doing so at your own risk.

Once I find it, I will forward it to you.

Thanks,

AJ

Hi AJ,

I and many others have already done this safely long ago. No problem there whatsoever. Please note that I only need a copy for the Audya 4 module - I have the rest.

Thank you so much for your help,

Henni

Hi AJ,
I would also like 5.2A for my Audya 76. Henni is right, it's great that a working fix is being conducted on 5.3A or B but we know that Rome was not built in a day, so the wait could be looooooong indeed.
Thanks
Robbo

Trying to load older firmware into devices can be risky and damage the OS of the (keyboard). If manufacturer safeguards are not in place to automatically not allow installing older versions, then at the user's risk.

Like PC programs, upgrades will generally be no problem, while other programs will automatically remove the older version before loading the upgrade. At least you have the option of completely removing a PC program if you wanted to reinstall an older version safely.

Going to an older OS firmware sometimes may not be able to remove the conflicting info from the latest installed OS and freeze up or damage the devices OS. What would you do then? Luckily it appears the Ketron devices will allow this, but personally I wouldn't risk this on such expensive hardware.
