I know from speaking with Gary that he loves this throne.
I prefer something on which the seat swivels, has rollers, is not so heavy and is easily adjustable in height.
I use a drafting stool that I bought from Office Depot about 15 years ago. I can adjust the level at which I sit during the job if needed to change positions. Sometimes it even doubles as a dolly! You must have a van or SUV to transport it though. I don't leave home without it!

I have the one pictured, but it is not comfortable enough for longer gigs,and doe not travel well. I bought the Tama 1st Chair, which is infinitably more comfortable and adjustable. The seat slides off and the legs fold up. It will last the rest of my life. and worth the money.
