a few years ago I recorded our version of this Classic duet
"Let It Be Me" with a good Pro Singer friend of mine from Germany. We used a TC Helicon voice live unit for the background VH, Lead duet vocals were just me & her. .. I played my Tyros 2 using a factory Rock ballad style, with additional T2 recorded multitracks added, my studio musician friend from the UK played guitar lead. An arranger can be a great tool to create songs,....enjoy.

Well, nobody ever said you couldn't sing smile. The young lady is also excellent. This is just my opinion only but I would rate each component of that performance as follows:

1. Male vocals - A+
2 Female Vocals - A
3. Arranger KB backing - C
4. Guitar Solo - (execution - B-) (appropriateness - D)

I do like the concept of adding live solo instruments to an arranger track though - it really helps with the 'realism'.

Just my opinion, though. When listening to an Arranger KB backing track, my main criteria is 1. suitability for the song, and 2. realism of the instrument voices.

Overall, very good listening experience because of the quality of the vocals.

Thanx for listening Chas,....I Know you dislike arranger KB's backing in general, it was a fun 'out of the box" project doing a classic song in a totally different way "ROCK BALLAD STYLE" with some
"Long Distance" musician friends nothing more..

take care

Don & Eddie,.....your too kind. I'd love to try something with some SZ members in the future also
each taking a part playing and singing then putting it all together somehow long distance,...
maybe a song like "Stand By Me" etc,..

I hope we all can meet one day beers on me!

Thanx for listening.

That actually was very enjoyable and a great way to utilise the vocal harmoniser . Sounded like real backing singers ! The lady had Karen carpenter styled voice and you cannot fail to impress sound like that . Dnj your voice was a revelation ! Very tasty . I thought the guitar solo was really good and the whole mix very professional . The tyros 2 kicks ass !!

Thanx spalding,...actually she recorded her VH parts "One Track at a time" seperate tracks also which to me sounds better vs all at once using a trio, etc,..all in all it was a learning experience and a super fun project.
