Looks like I need to replace the dolly I've been using for 15 years. Am thinking about going with the r8 or r10. Which do you use/prefer/ recommend and why?
If I get one I will probably want to get the one that has solid tires rather than air filled.

Scott, I have used an R8. Had to replace the tires with solid tires but that has turned out to be ok. I used it with all my keyboards, Roland, Korg, Yammie and now the SD7. Love it.
Regarding Cases: I had a company called Blue Heron custom make cases for both my Tyros 4 and my SD7. They are light weight, but well padded gig bag type cases. They will make them to your specs. Not cheap, but plenty worth the money. Keeps me from having to deal with extra weight of an oversized case.

My original R10 (red) was a work horse lasted a long time air wheels.....Now the R8 I use is more then enough strenght and a bit lighter too with hard tires. What I'm not happy with is the fact that they rust easily around the bearings, and frame joints. I have to keep using white lithium grease on it. I just can't understand any gigging musician is NOT using a R&R cart.
