Hi everyone. I'm back after a couple of years.
Bought my first ever korg arranger after many
Years with yamaha.

1. Ok so do I get that joystick to bend a note 1 note higher always. I see it does Bend correctly one note up on some sounds but not others

2. How do I quickly change a drum kit within a style

3. How do I keep lower 1 permanently set on octave +2 or +1

4. How do I permanently keep the split point between style and sound. It keeps Changing.

5. Ok teach me how to change the main eq settings like how you do on a yamaha psr s910 ...flat,standard,user 1, etc.
Also PLEASE give me your suggested user setting to get a good vibrant sound...

6. What about all those other compressor and effects settings ...should I leave them alone?

7.how do I save a style with my choice of sounds for upper 1 2 3 with the reverb settings that I have chosen.. its called a performance right?

8. Who will help me with tyros 2 or s900 styles for my korg. I love those and miss them . Also looking for ANY additional styles. My email is esalot777@gmail.com

It's good to be back.

The best I have for you is stop thinking Yamaha. Going from one major keyboard to another requires a clear mind that is not trying to follow the systems of their old keyboard.

My trip form Technics to Roland and Yamaha was not too difficult, but I found Korg to be a different animal. Why is it difficult? Because, in my opinion there are far more options. Korg’s manual is not friendly but it does have your answers.

My need to get the Pa800 ready to use on a job brought many frustrations.

Over 12 years with Technics I should have the OS down pat. After a Psr900, Tyros 2, and a Tyros 3 I had no problem with the OS. My advice to you is to learn one area of you Korg that’s the most important to you then go on to the next.

I do not regret, no better still, I feel real good about Korg, I’m glad I put the time in to understand the keyboard

In My Humble Opinion, John C.

Thanks for your advice. I am amazed that the pa600 sounds every bit as good as my old psr s910 yet different

What about styles? All I have is the on board styles. I'm sure some of you korg owners can share some styles with me smile

I registered accounts on those 2 sites and I got them now. Thanks a million smile I'm a happy camper.

I must say I never liked korg before...i last played a keyboard in 2011..A s910...then I gave it up. korg had a massive sale in South Africa even cheaper than USA prices. So I bought it to resell it for a small profit.. However once I opened the keyboard just to see if it's working I kinda got hooked on it. I loved the s910 but I think this pa600 sounds more bright and live than that keyboard. I have learnt not to judge a keyboard just by playing it in a shop...i never even liked the pa3x when it came out..korg make excellent keyboards. Now another thing I do notice however is that the s910 instruments sound more realistic whereas the korg sounds more "synthy" on all the sounds..fortunately I like both. But the korg styles easily put my s910 away for sounding like a live band. The intros do sound a bit better on the s910.

I also tried a s950...that is a different animal altogether and sounds like a live band just like my korg. That would be my dream keyboard...but let's see what the s970 has up its sleeve soon

Ok so I may have messed up my keyboard a little because now when I switch it on it says copyright error and I select cancel and eveyrhing is fine . How do I delete all the user styles and start again. Is it safe to do a factory reset. What is the correct way to install the dopamine set. Do I simply copy the set to a stick or copy each sound style pad to a stick. And then how do I correctly load it into the pa600

Sorry can't answer this question. I had the pa600 a long time ago and forget most. Better is to ask this question at http://www.korgforums.com. More people on that forum use the dopamine set.

I wouldn't load the whole set. Open the folders until you get down to the styles, then load them into User locations to audition.
You can safely do a factory reset to clear everything and restore to original condition.

That is one of the procedures I really disliked about all my KORG arrangers....I hope in future models they revamp this process to audition & load files it's so annoying ... mad

Yes, it's one of the few things I dislike. There are others, but then they haven't invented the perfect arranger yet!
