I recently purchased a used KN7000. The keyboard is awesome. I do need some help though and appreciate very much however you can help.

There is no diskette or Cd software came with the keyboard.

So whatever software you have, especially the ones came with the keyboard, I'd appreciate if you can somehow sent me. I can provide a FTP site for you to upload it.

How do you transfer styles/songs to the keyboard? I have copied the ones I found on the Internet to diskette or SD disk but the keyboard doesn't see them. Maybe I need to have the original software. Any easy way to do this?

The files I found have the follwoing extensions, i don't know what they are

ACT, CMP, EFC, LSW, PMT, SQT TM, CST.

Is there anyway to read the previous KN series styles on KN7000?
Thanks so much.

Tolgay,

Congratulations on the 7000, a great board. I would suggest you obtain the 6500 and 7000 Manuals written by Alec Pagida. They explain how to get the best from the instrument and are great reference material.
Contact Walt Tenay keyboards@bellsouth.net

cheers,

I have also wondered what all these different extensions (ACT, CMP, EFC, LSW, PMT, SQT TM, CST) mean. Maybe someone can define them here on the SZ for all of us. Thanks.

this information has been available for many years at Gunnar Johnny's website http://home.c2i.net/gjgotaas/ click on the Technical link. Willum also copied it and I updated it for him for the 7k.

Thanks for the replys..I think the only unanswered question I have is whether the previous KN series styles can be played on KN7000. I am looking for some oriental and Turkish styles.

Thanks

If you can give me a few days, I have around 40 Eastern / Oriental styles that will load up on your KN7000. I will have to gather them up and zip them for you.

As far as I know only KN6000 and KN5000 songs/styles can be played and saved in Kn7000 format.

Have fun with your "Best Keyboard ever "
