No help with this post on other forums. The SD7 is the same size as the SD5-44 by 16 by 6. Is there a soft gig bag for the SD5 that anyone has used?

Donny,
AJ emailed me today. It will be the 2nd week of June because he is tied up right now with the Detroit show. I asked AJ about gig bags but have not heard back from him yet. I found several but they are in the UK.

I MAY have a bag that big somewhere, but probably got rid of it. I will have to alter my kb stand too, as I think the SD7 will not fit on my 61-note stand. I do have a couple that will work though.
PA3x is 38.5 inches long, and SD7 about 46. It's not nearly as deep as the others though. PA3X76 was only 47" btw.

Deane, the specs on AJ's site show: 46 x 15.6 x 5. Better wait and measure the thing, or maybe AJ will measure his and let us know for certain.

Synerjim,
Thanks for the offer. I would rather not have a bag with wheels or a heavier bag.

Thanks,
Deane

That could be wrong. Specs are still preliminary as far as I know.

You may already be aware of this but Musicians Friend is having a case sale today only. Might be worthwhile taking a look. They do have a huge selection.

Going shopping in my attic after while. I think the bag I used for Audya is up there somewhere.

Don,
Was the Audya the same size as the SD7? Talked to Blue Heron today and they can custom make a case for me but it is very expensive. They made my Tyros 4 case and it is really awesome.

Don,
Just looked up Audya specs. 45X17X6. The SD7 is 46X16X6. I have searched Gator, Kaces, Fusion - all with no decent fits for the SD7. I guess I'll just have Blue Heron make a case for me. At least their products are super quality.

Deane, let's wait and measure the thing. I'm seeing different sizes on different sites.
Here's one that will fit perfectly, but it looks really flimsy~

I asked tonewheeldude on Facebook to please give me the correct measurements. Here's what he said:

"I have an SD5 and an SD7 here in front of me - they are exactly the same size, although the SD7 has a data wheel which sits slightly higher than anything on the SD5. They are roughly 116x13x39cm."

That would be: 45.6 x 5.11 x 15.35 in inches. Very close to what the brochure says: 46 x 5 x 15.6
