I have the E-855 in my office/studio and there is no handling noise associated with this mic whatsoever. The other handheld mic I have here is the Samson Q7, which is no longer made, but has been replaced with the Q8, which is a slight improvement over the Q7 from what I'm told. The Q7 is a very high quality mic, again with no handling noise as well. I would recommend either of these mics for any vocalist, male of female. All the best, Gary
