Dear Friends,

Thanks for all your support so far in providing you with quality products and service from KETRON. In our quest to reach out to you and other users, I would like to inform you of our ever growing network and service centers here in the USA.

My team and I have been with KETRON now since 2002 and invested a lot of time, energy and $$ into trying to grow the company from where we met it years ago. Before we got into the picture, KETRON was doing well in the USA under the BELL DOUVOX distributors (Lou and Aldo whom many of you remember and were very fond of). As is the case with any company, there is always room for improvement and growth.

We had promised you a while back that we would be rekindling our relationship with previous dealers who left the network and establishing new service centers within the USA and we have, and will continue doing so wherever we see the demand for them.

A few examples include (but are not limited to) ...

** AUDIOWORKS in CT (203-876-1133) is a well know KETRON dealer and a recently authorized repair center. Within the past few months, we have been to Frank's location a few times and have offered his team training on servicing and repairing KETRON products. By so doing, we were able to also find other service centers close to Frank that already service musical instruments from Yamaha, Roland and Korg and they have agreed to also service KETRON products.

** In Fort Wayn, IN JAY FOX (260-483-6071) is also a well known authorized dealer and repair center that not only handles KETRON products but also MIDI accordions and other related products. Jay fox is a professional player and offers excellent service too.

** Pete Mallett in Silvis IL (309-755-0581) is a professional Electronics Engineer who has been working on KETRON products since the Programmer-1 (that's before my days). Pet is also a dealer who services most musical electronic gear including KETRON.

** Pro Tech - associated with Washington Music Center in Wheaton MD (240-450-0308 )has been an authorized repair center for KETRON since 1998 in the Silver Spring/Wheaton area in MD. They do an outstanding job and have yet to send us a repair they couldn't handle!

** Vince Ramos (281 204-7716):- A dedicated KETRON Sales rep located in Houston TX since 1998. Vince has covered the Houston (TX) area for years and assists dealers there with sales and servicing of KETRON equipment. Vince occasionally does demos and is very knowledgeable especially on the SD1!

** John Deep (407-353-1010):- Another dedicated KETRON sales rep and service man in the Orlando (FL) area. Not only is John a talented guitar player but also a service rep Electrician who knows these instruments inside ... and out.

** Pro Audio Brooklyn (NY)(845-656-9036):- Pro Audio carry most Arrangers (including KETRON) and are authorized to work on KETRON product. They have actually been very helpful in giving suggestions used in future products due to their professional training in Sound and Electronic Engineering.

** Kaye's Music Scene - Tarzana (CA) (818-881-5567):- Although not yet an authorized service center, we are working with the owner (George Kaye) to see if we can re-establish a relationship with their previous repair center. George is a well established Arranger guru - especially within the Ethnic Musical world and has dealt with KETRON for years (before the recent 5 year break). We welcome him back.

** World of Stereo (San Francisco Bay area, CA):415-626 1195-:- Our latest addition to the family. This professional audio, studio and DJ store in the San Francisco Bay Area recently took upon carrying KETRON products. A large store with 2 other stores in the State, World of Stereo is promising to be a great location where one can actually go and see, play and listen to KETRON products. We are working with nearby service centers to ensure that they can service KETRON products as well.

** etc .....

There are over 22 service centers/dealers throughout the USA that work on/sell KETRON equipment and you can call us for a service next to you. That is a small number in comparison to many other companies, but as you see, the number is growing which means ... we are doing something right.

You can also contact the main factory KETRON directly at Ketron@Ketron.it for any service related issues and your email will be replied as quickly as possible ... since we are also following up with them to make sure emails and phone calls are responded to in a timely manner. Their direct number is also on their website (www.Ketron.it), and this is not true for all companies (in other words, being able to have a direct access number to the CEO or managers in charge of the company).

All these dealers and service centers mentioned above (and others not mentioned) are not only dealers and service centers, but folks whom I have grown to know and become friends with over the years. As respectable and well established centers, I believe many of you are as close to them as we are too. At KETRON, it's not just about business and numbers but also family and values - entrusting our products in the hands of those who believe in them nearly as much as we do.

The USA distribution network has grown since we took over barely 5 months ago. Gradually, we hope that we can achieve our goal of providing the best service, the best products and all for a reasonable price.

With the previous distributors (CMC), KETRON product support in the USA (for over 5 years) was offered only once a week (on Mondays). Now, it is offered every weekday and Saturdays too. We believe in the products and stand by them and that is a rear combination to find these days.

Again, our sincere thanks to all of you for your continues support. Together, we believe we can make a difference in our community and in our country with KETRON products.

Sincerely,

As I said, I didn't list them all but these folks wanted to make sure I included them as well after reading this thread ...

** John Gaunt of Accordion & Keyboards Clearwater, FL (727 443 4113), who has been with KETRON since the beginning and has continued to be a KETRON dealer and service center in Florida. He has a great technician who is very prompt with repairs. If we get a repair job from this service center, we know we are going to be going at it for a while :-)

** John Larosa of Larosa Music in NY (accordion and Keyboards)- 516 921 6759 in NY who has also been with the company for a while and offers great after product support and repairs (rather than swaps out parts).

Not true gary...very happy with the S950 at this time....But, like I said MORe has to be seen & heard of the SD7. Until someone shows me more of the things I need in an arranger KB with some good Demos, which include VH, search, song lists, in live play, etc, It;s not a consideration. Might have to even wait for people to buy & get them home before we see any demos aside from the minimal Musikmesse ones already posted.Common AJ players wanna see MORE!!

Here’s hoping that you will do a demo in the Philadelphia metro area … I think it would be a convenient location for those in Pa., New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland who are interested …
Ciao,
Jerry

Good to hear your pushing forward ...and making headway as the official Ketron Distrubutor for the USA AJ. Excellent support plays such a major part in building customer confidence and not every company recognises this. Couple that with the best musical instruments in their class and you cant go wrong.

Hello everyone!

Paulo from Brazil here.

That's great news, AJ.

I would like to thank you and Henni. I recently trade a Tyros 4 I bought from Frank V. to a Ketron Audya. I did this based upon Henni testimonies and AJ demos only. I already bought my AJAMSONIC upgrade.

Had a chance to buy a new T5 for the same price as the Audya, but in my opinion Audya sounds much more lively, clean and real.

Loving my new instrument.

Thanks to all for the support received.

Darren, thanks for the encouragement as well. Like I had mentioned a while back to you, I still think we need to collaborate with KETRON UK to better present KETRON products.

We can discus these details privately but I am open to suggestions and ideas like working with KETRON UK on content for KETRON products.

Thanks,

AJ

One thing we are doing that you may want to look at with the SD7 and MidJay pro is the ability to display two sheets of music on an external display meaning no page turning. This isn't possible with any other instrument as far as I am aware. The music can be stored as BMP, JPG and PDF but we find it works best with JPG due to the 1440x900 HD resolution (can give you the settings for PDF if required but they take a few seconds to load whereas a JPG is instant)- Its easy for owners to photograph their music book and pop it into the SD7 - that way no scanning or editing.

Once that's done its possible to make a registration and link the music so that it loads automatically when the reg is selected. This is great for people who need music. In the UK it is illegal to supply the sheet music on the product unfortunately but it may be worth checking if the same laws apply in the USA.

At the moment the SD7 and MJ Pro only support s linking to a PDF file, however Ketron have agreed to change this to include JPG and BMP files also on the next OS update.

We are selling a package which includes several books of music (copyright owned by us) as examples along with registrations on the SD7 / Midjay Pro, a Quik-loc Z stand with 1m or .6m bar on the rear, a monitor attachment on the bar, a 22" widescreen monitor with all cables ready to go (oh and a module stand attachment for Midjay Pro).
