44.5 lbs is around the weight of a Yamaha 1,000 watt powered speaker.

Can't say that I'm in the market either. But I thought it was interesting. Also, line array speakers in general have come down in price, I think.

Not sure of price... Guesses?!?

$1500 for each unit?!? $6000 for a full system (2 tops and 2 subs?!?)

The top speaker has a pole mount... so you don't need the sub. But to have a full 4000w line array system that can be rolled on a Rock-n-Roller cart... nice!!

Should be shipping by May!!

Not for us. To me it looks like Bose is after more of the DJ market which is big. Bigger bands two.
The Compact and L1's are great for guys like us and smaller groups but for heavy dance music or rock groups you need power.
I bet its going to be pricey too.
