Hello guys....

I had not been feeling that great for the last 5 weeks, and had problems contacting my new insurance, did not answer the phone calls, and those recordings and kept me waiting for over an hour....and nothing, sent emails that I am still waiting reply, some other phones listed in their web site are disconnected.....etc....trying to do the things the right way, getting to the primary doctor to send me to a specialist, etc...

I end up in an Urgent care, since the person that finally answer, told me that the next available appointment with the primary doctor was May 30th.... eek2 eek2
I told that person, if I wait that long I would be dead....and just told her I want to see someone TODAY (that Thursday), so, she sent me to that Urgent care, as soon they took the ECG (after waiting almost 4 hours), they got very alarm and call an ambulance and took me to a Hospital, that thank God, the most efficient I have seen.....in less than 15 minutes from the ambulance ride, I was at the room where they perform the Stent procedure, it is amazing that you feel immediately really good....finally could breath....I was released Saturday, and stay with some friends for 3 nights, now I am at my place.....feeling really good.
Marvels of the procedures in todays Hospitals.
Guys.....I had a rude awakening, so, take care and watch what you eat......
Now to take it easy for the next 2 weeks, I do have some gigs, that I am going to have someone helping me and doing all the lifting......and setting up.

Regards.......

WOW, Manuel, we are SO glad you are OK ...
It is wonderful that we live in an age that those kinds of life-saving procedures are available ...
You are in my prayers for a full and speedy recovery ...

I don't know what insurance company you have but that lack of response is totally unacceptable ... I worked in the 'insurance field' for 40 years, and that lack of attention deserves a complaint filed with the State Insurance Department:
https://insurance.az.gov/

Be well ...

Wow! Scary. Glad everything worked out ok. Take it easy and don't be too anxious to get back in the saddle. This should be a reminder for all of us (in our 'golden years') to closely monitor our health and our life style. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Thanks again.....

Glad to hear you're feeling better. The health condition is bad enough as it is, without further aggro from insurance companies. All the best.

Manuel, glad you survived the ordeal and can get back to normal living again. You should kick someone directly in the ass at that insurance company. and your primary doctor's office.

All the best,

Gary cool

You literally took you life into your own hands....YOU knew you were in trouble and YOU acted. Congratulations.
In 2008 I had similar feelings and didn't bother calling anyone. I asked Carol to take me to the hospital ER. I must have looked terrible because they didn't make me wait more than a minute before they sat me in a wheel chair and started tests. During the next 3 hours they transported me to another hospital, implanted 2 stents, put me in the recovery room and two days in semi-private. Then back home for light rest and no lifting. Like you, I don't think I would made it had it not been for getting myself to the hospital.

I had to farm a couple of jobs out, but one of my friends (and a player) did all the set up on an important gig I felt I had to do.

I'm really happy to hear it worked out for you...and that you took matters into your own hands.

Eddie

Great news my good friend! I'm so glad you acted as you did and got it taken care of.
I am celebrating one year since my emergency triple bypass, that came about as a result of a botched stent job!
I'm not doing that well, and have learned to live with quite a bit of discomfort. I know your situation will be far better!
Keep us up to date!
