Still, T4 or T5 are way behind TC Helicon or Digitech. Even this video I think it sounds pretty bad.

The video with Robbie doing "Good Luck Charm" highlights just how bad VH2 sounds. Yamaha should be ashamed to have that inferior technology in keyboards costing $5-$6000. I keep hearing that the VH2 harmony has to be set up right. I would assume if Yamaha is going to have one of their reps demonstrate VH2 that it would have been tweaked to the nth degree to get the best possible sound. If that's it move on to something else.

God Bless,
Don

Sorry but my eyes were on the performer. If that is what an arranger keyboard player looks and act like it is no wonder that the instrument is being put down.

He looked bored.

Sorry, John C.

Obviously, the VH on the keyboard is being over-driven. Robbie is a great entertainer, but he needs to go to the PSR Tutorial and take a good look at the lessions posted by Big 741, Dan Rymut. Dan has done a wonderful job of mastering Yamaha's vocal processors, made some fantastic recordings, and provides the insight as to how this was accomplished.

I'm not defending Yamaha's vocal processors, and I currently use a TC Harmony-M, which has been discontinued. However, have played with the S-950's built-in vocal processor a bit, I found Dan's setup information to be spot on.

Good Luck,

Gary cool

The VL3 is the best standalone unit I've ever had. It's a terrific guitar effects unit as well as vocal processor AND both sections are fed to a FABULOUS looper! It's a great tool.
