Hi,

I've written a composition using the sequencer on my KN and I would like to be able to edit it in Cubase, the problem is when I open the midi file on my Technics floppy disk all the parts are merged into one part on Cubase. How do I get it so that each part I've written on the Technics sequencer shows up as a separate part in Cubase?

Regards

years since I used cubase - but there should be a extract channels into tracks command somewhere in the menus, is it remix? used to be in the structure menu years ago? have a look in the help files?

Themadsmoker,

May as well try this.

Select your midi parts from "edit>select> select all", and the parts will be highlighted. now then, go to "structure, and select "EXPLODE BY CHANNEL". the parts should now split up. It worked for me on my piano (Roland), but I had to "unexplode" them if you like, to "explode" them to see if it worked. Check page 76 of the manual "getting into details" for more on this.
