At the same price point as a Bose compact, couldn't fender at least throw in the covers like bose? confused1

These two are the same price on Sweetwater, it looks like a bit of a deal for people in Europe.

I would love to be able to sail my boat to Santa Catalina Island one day, but I guess that's not even remotely possible. As for the weather here, 5 days of rain, which will now be followed by bone chilling cold weather that is forecasted for the next few days. I sincerely believe this will be a nasty winter in the mid-Atlantic region, and that, among other reasons, is why this old codger is heading south to the Florida Keys when January arrives.

Cheers,

It's brutally cold here in Louisiana. Temperature dipped into the 50's last night and the high was barely over 70 today. Any more of this and I will have to throw a light jacket in the bass boat or golf cart.
I forgot to mention, the wind was gusting to about 3 mph. The lakes are not nearly as pretty with a ripple on the surface. Yesterday I saw a small cloud but fortunately it did not block the sun.
On top of all this bad weather, gasoline prices are around $2.80 per gallon. Must be an election coming up.

Gas prices dropped here, too, Don. $2.97 a gallon. Three months ago it was $3.89 a gallon. Yep, it's near election time - that's fer sure!

That makes the sub weigh close to 40 pounds. Just in case that matters to you.

I've used them both, and the LD is more "pro" than the Bose. For example the bottom has 2 6" woofers, in a V trap design, a wood enclosure, which does not flex like plastic, so the bass response is very impressive, on top of that, you have a individual sub control to dial it in for your liking. Also the upper end using a extra horn type driver to give you a bit more of that conventional sound too.

I think also that since the prices are so close, the LD wins. But like anything, you need to listen and decide for yourself,

They also make a

Frank,

I think you need to load up a tractor/trailer with PAs and keyboards, drive it to the Florida Keys in February, and we'll have a monster Synthzone Jam, you can demo and sell the gear, and hopefully, drive an empty truck home to Connecticut. wink

Cheers,
