The Bose L1 Compact has four inputs (1/4-inch, 1/8-inch stereo, RCA, XLR), not a single XLR. Check the other technical information HERE!

Wouldn't one have to hear it for themselves to know the answer to that? ...

Doesn't matter to me. I am not in the market for two $1700. speakers, even if they come with naked girl roadies.
However, since you sold your Bose system, which at the time you raved about, you have trashed it on nearly every post concerning p.a. systems. We GET it. You don't like it anymore! smile

Well since you edited your post my reply doesn't make much sense, but it has nothing to do with being friends. That is a given, old buddy!

Yorkville (or Traynor, if you will) used RCF speakers in their "Elite" line of PA equipment back in the mid to late 80's. They were extremely reliable, and most music stores used them in their Rental Departments with great success.

There are allot of factors about speakers to consider, just because a company claims a certain spec, especially one that has no guidelines, you can't really rely on just that.

As most of us in the pro audio world can tell you, is that wattage does not matter at all. Since there are so many other factors that will determine the SPL output. a 700 watt system can be louder than a 1400 watt, and vice versa.

Also the " coverage " spec is one that makes me laugh, what exactly are they testing and these 120 or 180 or 210 degree of coverage? is it frequency response? is it the SPL of the frequency response, is it the change in frequency response and or change in spl or freq response.

Also Bose and RCF are very respected companies. RCF has been making speakers and enclosure for a very long time, and have made them for allot of other companies, including helping put Mackie and plastic speaker boxes on the map

It all comes down to simplest points,

1- does is sound good ( this is very subjective, but there is a standard of good sound ), and will it be loud enough?
2- does it sound good enough to justify what it cost?
3- will it work in the way I need it to in my type of shows and locations?

and the main question which is the most important..... Can Frank make any money selling it
