It appears to have a single XLR input jack, and from what I gleaned from the spec sheets, you would need a pair for stereo.

Donny, look at the specs. I think all you are seeing is the wattage, not all the other stuff. For example, the Horizontal Coverage is just 120 degrees, somewhat better than a conventional sound system, but no where near the 210 degrees Bose provides. The Bose L1 Compact has four inputs (1/4-inch, 1/8-inch stereo, RCA, XLR), not a single XLR. Check the other technical information HERE!
