Just got the results from MRI on my right shoulder...serious tears...three of them...requiring surgery and an 8=12 week recovery program.

That will be the longest I have ever been off in my life.

Will go for final review and scheduling later this week.

DAMN!

I can come up there and do your gigs for you. Of course they may never like jazz again when I'm through with them!

Hey Russ, why don't you spend a week or so of that recovery time down here with us. You know we've got lots of space and although my wife's a lousy cook, we've got a big grill and a freezer full of steaks, salmon, etc. (plus some great restaurants). If you feel up to it, we can take the motorhome (it's a 40ft diesel pusher) over to New Orleans and check out 'our project'. Or, if you're feeling brave, we can rent a plane (I've still got a current 2nd class medical) and fly over. The MH will be much more comfortable, though, if slower. Think about it. I'm pretty bored and need some excitement.

Chas, I will be back in Newman during this recovery, working on film scripts, a catalog on the staircase line, a website and other projects.

We'll visit then, for sure.

You'd be super welcome Don, that would make Russ's day (and mine too). All we'd need is Boo. Since my 'jazz' guitarist and drummer BOTH also play in a Country/Southern Rock band, I'm sure we'd have a pretty good time. Hey, I'm serious if you are, all we have to do is convince Russ.

chas

BTW, Jim Eshelmann lives just a few miles down the road in the next township but we've never met in person.

Jim moved to Georgia? Wow, the last time I talked with him he lived near Jekyll Island.

Yeah, lives over in Kennesaw, GA (about 10 miles from me). Been there at least a couple of years. I thought he was on Hilton Head Island before he moved here.

Thanks, guys. First appointment available is October 2. I have cancelled or rescheduled everything from October 1 thru the first of the year.

Dr. says I should stop TONIGHT!

Really painful, but I have hired one of my kids to lift everything. That's what causes the pain. When I got the MS-60's; then the SD-5, I chose the one with the speakers and amplifier.

Lots heavier than just a board with a separate. I've been moving this thing myself 10 times a week for 14 years. IT'S HEAVY!

HOPING FOR THE BEST!

Russ
