Eliminate the photos of the "old man", put in some generic cartoon logo and you'll have it made. To be honest, Dave, you really haven't changed a bit since I first met you many years ago. You looked old then, and you still look old! Good luck old friend, Gary

Eliminate one of the pictures...otherwise, the promo is nicely done. Asking you to shave your distinctive beard (or to dye it) is like asking Donny to try and lower his hairline by using a hairpiece ...it just wouldn't look very natural, and, it is your look, so why hide it? As you say regarding the card, colors and lines could be sharper, but, overall, it is very professional looking. Ian

I started shaving my head in my early 30's as I got more deeply involved in martial arts ...when I let it grow back in about 10 years ago, there was a whole lot more grey than I expected. So, off it came again, and at 65, I hope I at least look my age or a little younger...now, acting my age is a whole other issue...ha ha!
My motto is, "If'n I can't be young...at least I can be immature."
Ian
PS...Cassp...you definitely look younger than 64.

Well, personally - I am not one for false impressions. I would never color my hair, wear a toupee, do a comb-over or any other ridiculous thing to change my appearance. I'm old.(yet, still in my fifties!) I'm bald, and what hair still grows wild on my chin is gloriously gray. Until I decide to shave for some reason other than visual impressions, I will enjoy that extra 3-5 minutes of "scrape-free" peace every morning. My crowds have always been both younger and older than I, so there is no point in trying to look like anyone other than myself. The picture on the left was 2 years ago, the one on the right was this summer ... both will remind the clientele who is performing when they check in with the receptionist. It's serves a purpose .... to let the people know who's playing that night. It's not an album cover ... just a throwaway calling card for a few weeks. Thanx for all the input. Should I post my HS picture????? Or, maybe my role as "Billis" in South Pacific?????? That was then - this is now, and never the two shall meet again.

sounds like a fun weekend gigging.... Well, you'll be gigging ... I'll be "at work". (always hated that word - I know, I know ... it's just me, the rest of the working population LOVES the term) Gig is slang for a musical engagement in which musicians are hired[clarification needed]. Originally coined in the 1920s by jazz musicians,[1] the term, short for the word "engagement", now refers to any aspect of performing such as assisting with performance and attending musical performance. More broadly, the term "gigging" means having paid work, being employed. Comes from the term "gig". It means you are moving from one gig to the next, singing along with each band for a few songs and then moving on. It's similar to clubbing, except the clubs are more likely to be coffee shops and there will probably be more singing and less dancing/drinking. Gigging is about experiencing the music and atmosphere of each venue. Tends to be more popular with people who enjoy jazz or "underground" music.
