Going with facts (Samples, data, algorithms used ...etc), about 85% identical in the Sound generation.

The Midjay Pro is a good bang for the buck as it was derived from elements of the Audya series and priced more 'comfortably', but it does have some edge in it's voice articulation - especially in the Brass and woodwinds!

Over all, the AUDYA is still the flagship.

Overhere in europe the price difference between them isnīt that huge... 2000 for the Midjay Pro and 2400 for the Audya 4...

So i guess there is no reason to choose the Midjay Pro if you are willing to push a few bucks extra, unless, you really need a more compact unit..

Thanks AJ for the answer...

reasons to choose the Midjay Pro would be ...
.. a more compact and way lighter unit
.. more modern styles
.. don't care about creating styles (AUDYA 4 allows for this)
.. want more PLAYER features and less ARRANGER features (reverse n AUDYA 4)
.. large true color touch screen
... menu driven (due to less buttons to access functions)
... then Midjay PRO should be your choise

Most of these is can see
Yet i dont understand what player features you mean?

Other question, would the ajamasonic pro audya styles work on the midjay plus?

Bachus...
Just to give you one example, the Midjay PRO can play styles with Audio drums with less limitation than AUDYA - greater tempo variation with no distortion to the Audio Drums.

The AJAMSONIC Midjay Pro does come with the AJAMSONIC Super Pro Audya styles. However, if you have an AJAMSONIC Audya and you have these styles already in AUDYA, you cannot simply transfer the styles into the Midjay Pro - they won't work.

So there is a small difference in style format? Which would mean i could not transfer any audya styke file to the MidJay Or are the ajamsonic files somehow coded with a hardware relationship only allowing them to function on the device they are created for?

If there is a difference in style format, would you be able to explain it?

Yes there is a difference in style format.

* Live Audio guitars ... not present in Midjay Pro so there has to be a 'translation' to a similar 'midi' guitar when the style is transferred over.
* Live Audio Drums are managed differently.
** AJAMSONIC styles are coded for the machines they were developed from ... else A could get them and simply pass them onto B.

To bad there are no audio guitars in the MidJay...

But i am most impressed with the lovely screen and the UI of the MidJay, and this promisses much for an future audya replacement...

I doubt your gonna see an Audya replacement in psyical design but instead they are doing a fantastic job in improving the "inside" workings and that's what counts unlike m,any of the other manufacturers that bait you into buying a new unit every other year with minuscule improvements.
