It is always good to see the folks at HQ posting among us mere mortals. If you have time, please take a peek at my post about a speaker problem on my PSR-2000.

Thanks,

Rice, you should take that old 2000, add about $1500. to it and get an S950. You can't take all that money with you you know.

Hi Steve,
Great to see you posting. Thanks for letting us know about the extended support hours. But apart from that how has life been treating you and your family since we heard from you last?

This is one area in which Yamaha RULES. Korg USA no longer has phone support for end users! Not sure Roland is even in business and help for Ketron is only available when AJ is.

Steve,

This is great news and thanks for the update.

Don ... KETRON is undergoing positive changes and support is now available every day between 10am ~ 5pm.

Please visit www.Ketron.it and check out the US Distributor & Technical Services ... then check out the new website www.AjamSonic.com

Slow but steady ....

Thanks.

Is there a place where users can make feature requests or report bugs?

All I see on the site is the "old" SD5, which weighs 43 pounds.
If I were in the market I would want something 30 or less. Korg PA900 which I'm using now qualifies easily.

AJ, I would think something in the 23 to 25-pound range would be in line with the competition. And, most of us really don't need more than 61 keys - but that's another can of worms I don't wish to open.

Having had a look through the manual, listening to demos, etc. I think I could like AJ's Audya a lot. But, like you guys, I agree the weight issue is a very valid concern. Soundwise, for me, there's little to choose between Ketron and Korg, so then other factors come into play. In that regard, how's after sales service outside of the U.S. these days?

You know Ketron isn't gonna make a whole new physical KB vs improving what they already have for Audya 5, Ajamtronic etc, etc, at this time & I can't blame them either they already have an amazing sounding arranger KB,.......why is the weight such a big factor, it's not an issue for everyone & most aren't pros that have to move the KB anyway to gigs vs a home player ..? Everyoen already knows the Audya is the best [color:#FF0000]LIVE[/color] sounding arranger KB on the market...but someting keeps them from buying one confused1 Go figure..

My main feature request is detailed right here, and I have over 40 Tyros5 users who are on board with me, but we don't know who to talk to:

Chony, I would think the first thing to do would be to sit down and compost a letter to Steve Demming at Yamana. Steve has always been very supportive of this and the PSR-Tutorial site, and I'm sure he wil be more than happy to forward your letter to the appropriate Yamaha design teams. As I've stated many times in the past, Yamaha DOES listen to us, despite the fact that we are just a tiny minority of their consumers. I, personally, believe they're done an outstanding job of responding to our requests over the years. However, I would not anticipate an immediate response - the arranger keyboards that are released this year were likely designed at least three years ago.

Good Luck,

Gary cool

AJ, in looking at the ketron italy site they are now listing you as the distributor in the USA. Does this mean that CMC in New York is now out of the picture?

Um, sorry - "I" don't know that. I'm sure it's top notch, like all the Ketron products of the past, but "best?" ... don't start that one!
