I agree... it is an interesting discussion. As one guy there put it, "It is all about the mindset...!" That pretty well sums it up for me. I know that keyboards in general are sneered at by pro musicians and producers. Many with good reason and others because they don't understand what arrangers can do in the hands of people with real talent. (Present company excluded... Me!)
To be sure, Arrangers vary from the simple to the sublime and it's all about personal tastes, preferences and budgets. I'd love to own a Tyros 5 or a PSR-S950 but the S910 will do and I still own my 2000 for which I traded my pickup truck years ago.
In the end, music is music and whatever captures the ears and hearts of the listeners is all that matters.
