Tony,

Sorry to hear this bad news, even though I never met him a few years back we corresponded often. At the time he also shared that he was having health problems. It's great that you and Lydia did at least meet him on one visit to Rome.

May he RIP.

This is terrible news and I am exceptionally saddened to hear of this, my condolences to his family and all concerned. It is a sad day.

I had no idea he was unwell. Such a lovely guy, I always enjoyed his posts and his replies to my posts.

I only had a few nice exchanges of posts with him, mostly about the dixie version of 'Midnight in Moscow' - but enough to be shocked and sad about this news. Whenever I hear or play that piece again, there will be a reference to his memory. RIP.
