There is no BEST..........after you take your T5 into the store and hook it up and play thru 5 or 6 different systems at
FULL PERFORMANCE Volume will you then be able to make a educated decision on what sounds BEST for your kind of music using your own gear. Do not listen to anyone here or anywhere ......
your ears & finances will guide you.

Good luck

How much do you want to spend?

How much do you want to schlep?

What size are the venues /audiences ?

Are you playing for dancers?

Age range of the audience?

I have sold many T5s the past few months and a favorite of my customers has been the Yamaha Stagepas 400i for sound, portability and features.

Thanks guys. I think I'll try out a pair of DXR12 since the 8's are not much less. As far as a music stores around here they don't have PA systems to try out... I think they would freak out if they saw an arranger keyboard!

Larry, how far are you from a GC? They usually have a vast assortment of sound systems, and some of their larger stores have a soundproof room for trying them out.

I love My Yamaha DXR 12's and My DXR 8's killer speakers for live play!

The best PA I ever used was a pair of Bose L1 (not the Compacts) in stereo.

Pricey? You bet! But, you may go through a number of keyboards, but you only need to buy the right PA system once.

Plus, using the Bose eliminates the need for a monitor system, which is another added expense and another thing to set up and adjust.

Having the two Bose also acts as a back-up...if one ever fails, you can squeak by with one of them.

If I was to start gigging again, that's the system I would get...a fine (and one time) investment in my opinion.

Ian,
I've had every Bose that they ever made and I've only downsized because I never needed the extra ooomph that the larger ones put out. My Compact packs a wallop and if I ever need more ... I add a small bass amp or run a line into the house (or MY QSC stereo system)

Picked up the 12's today. they knocked off $100 buying 2. The 8's look tempting but for $100 more you get the 12's. I'll let you know how they work out.
Thanks guys...

Just bought the Bose L1 Compact and I really love the system. Never heard myself so clearly as the system sits off to one side or slightly behind me. Not even a hint of feedback. The audience hears what I hear which is crystal clear sound.
Really love the time saved in setup.

God Bless,
Don
