Happy St. Valentine's Day everyone ...

I had a very nice gig at one of my NH's. It is the first time I played it for Valentines Day. I was a little skittish about too many love songs for these people, given their situation, but they ate it right up. Even after fifty years, I learned something new.

Bernie ... I had the same experience ... you just never know ...

As Tony said "You never know." Yesterday, I did a mix of everything, and they loved it, didn't want me to stop playing and singing, but my voice was beginning to give out so I had to call it quits after an hour.

Tonight even with more pending snow this afternoon round two for Valentines Day with a Big Dinner & Dance.....my red shirt is getting a workout for sure......last night after the gig as always last nite on the way home from the 2nd gig I just had to fill my crave on Valentines Day Oh Baby!!
5 cheeseburgers & Onion Rings w/Tarter sauce

I clearly remember when you could buy tiny burgers, measuring about the size of a silver dollar, at White Castle for .10 cents apiece. I used to grab a bag of these on the way to work when I worked at University of Maryland Hospital. Back then, hospital food was horrible and those tiny burgers really hit the spot. Loved em!

When I get the very occasional crave for a fast food burger, A&W make what they call a "Buddy Burger"...a small hamburger/cheeseburger with caramelized onions and other goodies.

Under a Twoonie and really just the perfect size for me.

One of the ways I keep my weight at a normal level, is to eat small meals, but more often per day, and to eat very slowly.

when I was in High School WC burgers were 7cents & 10cents for cheese.....oh man did we scoff them up big time by the bag full ...especially when we had the munchies lol..
last nite it was packed in there for Vday..

Tonight's V-day dinner dance gig was nice even though I had to drive thru the falling snow to get there....all in all they had a great time.

Worked in Wilmington, De, usually a bit over an hour drive, but yesterday traffic seemed much slower and heavier. I used most of a container of windshield washer fluid as there was a constant spray from the dirty melting snow. I played no traditional Valentine songs; they requested all up-tempo, 50’s and 60’s R&B. On the way home, I stopped for a couple of lobster dinners, our traditional Valentine fare (in lieu of flowers).

Donny both of my Valentine's Day parties canceled due to our great weather here in Maryland. I don't remember White Castle here but I do remember Little Tavern. Am I right on that one Gary? They had the most incredible little burgers ever. I remember stopping there many times after jobs and getting a bag full. Oh what I wouldn't give for the good old days!

We had both, but I only remember one white castle, which was near Loyola College. It was gone by the early 1960s, though.
