Though somewhat hesitant in light of all the posting by my fellow countrymen here ( Rico, Tostie, Robbedoes) and their superior craftsmansdhip I do want to share these two recordings with you. Bearing in mind that I am not a piano player and that the Korg PA800 is not a piano (...far from it...) this is the best I could do, but I am sure the song itself will be inspirational for you professional entertainers out there

Very nice John! On a trivia note, I also listened to Midnight Special. In downtown Shreveport, near where I live, there is a statue of the local man who wrote it, Hudie Ledbetter. He is better known as Leadbelly. He was pretty much a rascal, and spent his share of time in jail, but wrote some great songs such as this one and Goodnight Irene. Thanks for sharing your talent!

Thank you guys for your comments. Believe me it is a pleasure to perform a song like this, I would imagine in ANY language... And as you say Ian the Korg piano is not all that bad really.
regards, John
P.S. Don, I basically fell in love with the Midnight Special thru Creedence and John Fogerty, great singer, great gitarist!

Good stuff John. Enjoyed your recordings. The piano sounded really good and I liked your version of the tune. And,,, a little bit of the Elvis thing going on with the collar up Thanks for posting.
