I wouldn't be selling my Audya, it still has cutting edge sound, and the AJSonic upgrade in particular the SSD which I am shortly to upgrade with is worth every penny.

Thanks AJ for your great service, and lets all have a fantastic 2014

Ian,
Happy new year to you too. Just returned from your neck of the woods (Hamilton Canada) for a 3 days Christmas break with the family. How far are you from there? Also went to Toronto for about 7 hours ... Checking out the Canadian Arranger waters!. What a drive!

Thanks.

Take a good look at how ReCycle used to do audio loops... It would slice them, then give each slice its own MIDI note, so the MIDI file 'played' the loop, and this allowed you to do easy editing to reorder it if you wanted to mess with the groove.

But the icing on the cake was, it would take the last bit of the slice and timestretch it a bit, somehow... This allowed you to slow down the slices without gaps appearing in the sound. But something that needs to be thought about is, what do you do if you want TWO slices on any particular beat? No problem for a sampler or computer... just play them both. But if any system can't do this, you are going to have problems.

ReCycle was the granddaddy of loop slice and manipulation tools, and still to this day can do things few others can quite pull off. Give it a close look if you are considering allowing users to edit audio loops in the Ketron's....

I'm quite a ways from Hamilton AJ...Cape Breton Island is off the east coast of Nova Scotia, so it's quite a drive, especially this time of year.

As far as I know, Quebec is Canada's most arranger friendly province...it was where we sold the most Electone organs back in the day, too.

There are also more white grand pianos sold there than anywhere else in Canada...a bit of useless trivia...ha ha!

Diki,

Thanks for the 'tip' on managing the Audio. That is exactly how the X1 and the SD1/SD1 Plus handled it. It's the Midi notes that controlled the 'arrangement' of the sliced audio parts, thus you could go in and edit just the conga or snare or .... etc...

Ian ... had I made that drive on to where you're at, maybe the car would have arrived ... just without it's driver :-)

Thanks guys ....
