Thanks.......to you guys who appreciate "accordion" music. I'm going to make a conscious effort to start working on that PA3x and see if it doesn't ease me back into playing again.

Ian.......thanks for reminding me about using a volume pedal. I used to use one with my "accordion" sound on the DX7 way back when, but I've been playing a Roland these last few years with no separate output for the right hand.

Come to think of it, I'm not even sure I would have figured that out myself.....using a volume pedal on that output....I've been so used to "across the board" volumes with very few individual controls! I have to start looking into all those options I now have on the PA3x.

Mark ... don't know how I failed to post about this, but you did a fine job on this tune, which I also used to play in my accordion days ...

Col ... I am with you on that ... some days my fingers just ache from arthritis ... don't know if I could play this song now, especially on a horizontal KB ... frown

Excellent French musette voice. Korg nailed it and so did you. You did a very good job on that tune and keep on playing that genre, you do it very well !

I wanted to thank you all for the compliments you made here. You know, as each of you posted, I opened up the mp3 and listened to it a few more times. Not for my playing or arrangement, but to listen to that Musette sound on the Korg. I'm absolutely fascinated by what that machine can do. And I even forgot to use the left hand "strings!"

In short, I'm getting real interested in giving that PA3x a second go.....spending some time getting re-acquainted with it. Now all I have to do is figure out which sound that was, or did I "combine" sounds to get that particular French accordion?

BTW, I'm a professional accordionist who used to play a lot of Musette. Sparky was right....it ain't easy playing those runs on a vertical keyboard......and after a while it hurts your hands too!

A tip if you don't mind. I practice my musette on a piano......not too long mind you, but long enough to "work the fingers" enough to play typical Musette "runs."

Very nice Mark,

I play a lot of french musette, love the stuff.

I use a midi accordion with my BK7. I use a "real" accordion

with acoustic reeds RH, with a little reverb miked up , and BK7

for styles on LH. I have to admit, that is a beautiful musette

sound from the Korg. I also like that style, I wonder could

you send me a copy of that style, I would really appreciate

it.if you could.

Well, it certainly seems your muse spoke to you about the musette!

Bravo!

Thanks for the music,
Dan
