Serge, Congratulations on getting the Korg Pa900.
Having just upgraded to Tyros 5 from Tyros 4,
I can't afford to buy a PA3X too, so I'm now considering a Pa900 instead of the PA3X.
Does the Pa900 utilize the same 'Grand Piano Sample' & the same 'TC Helicon Voice Processor' as included on the PA3X?
Does the Pa900 include a Chord Sequencer? Is there a Pa3X/Pa900 feature comparison chart available anywhere?
In the meantime, just checked FedEx Tracking and it says my Tyros 5 will be delivered to me on 12/24. Just in time for Christmas.

Not sure about the piano sample, but it's lovely!
The TC unit is not the same - it's the one that the PA800 had. Very good, but not as good as the 3x.
Chord Seq - yes!
Comparison chart ... Korg would be foolish to put one out, but maybe someone else has!

In fact I have tried both pa3x and pa900
All the voices of the pa3x are in the the pa900, and you can add some more voices .
The pa3x has a section of effects that is not present in pa900.
And sliders not present too. With the Pa3x you can create samples. The Pa900 can load samples but cannot create samples.
Ther is one thing the pa900 can do and the Pa3x cannot : load soundfonts samples !

Sure there are somme differences to justify almost the double in price.
The better is to go and listen carefully and try the pa3x and pa900.

With the same budget I bought the
pa900 and the 88 keys yamaha MoXF8

I hear that tHe pa4x might be announced (namm 2014 ?)

This video explains the difference between sa2 and dnc, shows how much controll is needed to get the dnc voices on par with the sa2 voices...

Thats why the ec5 pedals are a must hen you want to play the pa3x DNC voices to their fullest.. They require much more effort, but they leave the player in charge...



Still no answer on the VH of the PA900

According to the specs however the PA3 has 4 voices at once... While the Pa900 has only 3 ... Also the pa3x has much more vh options...
They are not the same, however, that does not say anything about the quallity, TC hellicon quallity is allways stellar also in their cheeper products.

if you are happy with your. Yamaha styles, you could also consider the Kronos 61, that goes for almost the same price as the pa900. You get stellar sound quallity a lot of pro options, karma...... But no TC hellicon, styles or DNC sounds.

I think this has been posted before, but here it is, you can get an idea about the VH in Pa900.
Which indeed is not the same with Pa3x.
