Did they have cameras back then, Nigel...or will we have to settle for a portrait?

Sophia was probably one of the most sensuous looking actresses of her time, and yep, she still looks pretty good at nearly 80 yrs.

However, what was that saying my Uncle Jim used? Oh yeah, "You are only as old as the woman you feel."

Old Carlo Ponti sure knew how to pick 'em.

Me too, Nigel.

My Uncle Jim used to compare being married to an ultra beautiful woman like Sophia, to having an exotic car, like a Ferrari.

They both look terrific, handling can be tricky, maintenance is very high, and everyone else wants to drive them.

Maybe that's all some of these women should have done after menopause.

I saw a recent picture of Kenny Rogers after his facial surgery...he looks like he's constantly surprised...but, then again, maybe his wife likes it that way?

I have recently watched "Behind the candelabra" and found hilarious the scene where Michael Douglas (as Liberace) can't close his eyes not even while he's sleeping.

No surgery for me - just hope that in 7 years, when I'm 80, I'm still able to draw a breath. wink I don't think I've changed much in appearance during the past 20 years, but I'll let you be the judge. wink

Last month - surrounded by ladies.

All this reminds me of another italian actress, less glamorous than Sophia Loren, but very talented; her name was Anna Magnani and she won an Oscar in 1955 for "The rose tattoo". Before a session with her make-up guy, she once said: "Please, let my wrinkles alone: it took me years to get them this way".

I think the really weird thing about Liberace's situation was his attempt at trying to mold Scott Thorson into a younger version of himself...he requests his plastic surgeon to transform Thorson's face to more closely resemble his own.

Strange stuff, indeed.

Gary ... as I used to tell my father - in - law when he would say his looks hadn't changed in 40 years - "When we lose our hair at a young age (as I also did), we look OLDER when younger, but there is not too much that changes after that!" wink

The ads at the top of the page are Google Ads that display ads using Google Ad Sense that weights the ad selection based on text content on the page. I am guessing your mention of "boobies" earlier is probably causing some adult ads to be displayed.

And now I have also mentioned it those ads will probably increase.

I think the ads reflect products, etc. that you have 'googled' or otherwise searched for on your PC ...

I'm going to have to google something else because I'm only seeing zz sounds and ads for other music services ... mad
