Cole Vosbury from Shreveport has impressed a lot of folks on The Voice, and rightfully so.
However, a lot of folks outside this area don't know about his dad, Robin, whom I've known and worked with some for more than 25 years.
Here's a clip of Robin on the Louisiana Hayride a couple of years ago. He's the real deal too, and I thought he was probably the best guitar player I'd worked with until his kid came along. Wish the quality of the video and audio were better, but you can see the talent that Cole inherited.
Anyway, check it out. And by the way check out the respect our pickers around here give to their Flag and their Beliefs.

Dad should really be proud. Kid's got so much soul and feeling.

I like both.

(Only thing; they should be a little more careful choosing friends)

I liked the way he brought All My Trials into the medley. Great performance. Though it was difficult to determine, the guy on the extreme right look a lot like our departed friend Hank Bowman.

The best rendition of All My Trials I've ever heard was by Harry Belafonte

Thanks Don,

Gary cool

I've been loving Cole's performances on The Voice. I can appreciate he has come from a musical family.

Still strange only one of them turned chairs at his audition... and even the one you would least expect..

Is he playing a Tyros here as top keyboard?

Yes, even though Celo picked him, I think he made a bad song choice for the blind audition. I'm glad he ended up with Blake.

Don,

I have to think Blake new who it was before the performance and also knows his Daddy too. ;-)

Actually he didn't. My son in Oklahoma and my niece are both pretty close friends with Blake, and I'm a friend of Cole's dad, Blake didn't know Cole before the early auditions. However when it came time to "save" Cole when Ceilo cut him, Blake knew what he was getting at that point!
