I just bought a new Kia soul for the wife and she absolutely loves it. Took a long time for her to be willing to give up her Lincoln Towncar and I never thought she would ever like a small car, but this thing really does seat 4 adults comfortably and has plenty of space for storage and the rear seat backs also fold down.

Billy, that little KIA Soul is a terrific car...not only looks cool and chic, but is very well made.

I have a friend here in my apartment complex that has one, and she LOVES it!

It looks really cool on the inside too.

Boo, both Captain Russ and I have had excellent service from Scion XB. It has plenty of room for big people and lots of gear, gets 34 MPG and doesn't cost a fortune.
Only thing, mine is from a few years ago, and probably would be under-powered for mountain driving. The newer model has a bigger, Camry, engine and would be better for you.
Susan has now commandeered the XB and I'm driving a Ford Expedition. Wow, what a difference in gas mileage. I can get 16 in town and maybe 21 on the highway if I'm careful.

I love my Ford Escape. It is the perfect vehicle for OMB work. I put the smaller back seat down so I can accommodate the Keyboard, and the rest of the gear fits comfortably in the back, even the bulky Roland BA-330. The 2.0 liter engine would be more than enough for any mountain road!

Yes Scion is made by Toyota. It is, or at least it was when mine was made, assembled completely in Japan and shipped to the U.S.
Most Toyotas sold in U.S. are made here.

Don’t laugh. But, how about a Ford Fiesta? Got a new one. 40-plus mpg. Carries the S950 and assorted stuff like a charm. Played a 500-mile roundtrip gig last evening. Just me and the sax player, who fit-in as well.
