I won't mean anything to anyone on here. I wrote it for a Facebook group from my old high school, but if you want to hear the PA3X recorded live, one take, on the built it MP3 recorder, here it is.

Damit Don - now I wish I had gone whole hog and got the Pa3X instead of the Pa900.

Naw - I love this Pa900.

Which style did you use on this one?

Thanks guys. Bill, style was Johnny Rock, one of the free upgrades from Korg released this year. I changed the drum kit I think.

Sounded like a great combination of Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee and a ragin Cajun. Good one old friend.

Thanks guys, you would have to know more about the story behind it to fully appreciate it. It took me 10 seconds to steal the idea from Chuck, 10 minutes to write the lyrics and 1 take to record. Then transfer from card to PC and upload to Box. Isn't technology wonderful?

Don... take a look at any high rolloff function on the slapback you put on the guitar. That echo is a bit bright for the period (all they had back then was tape slapback, which limits highs quite a bit).

But a fun tune... LOL

Thanks Diki, I remember using an old Echoplex tape delay back then. I'll try it.

Don plays better Guitar on keyboard than most Guitar players I see on TV and here in Colorado. This includes famous people like Elvis, Cash, Kris, Willie, John Denver and ten thousand more that I don't even know. Don even plays better guitar on the keyboard than he plays on this tune too.

I like em!!!!

Ron, If I weren't in such a fix and had a decent vehicle, I could be there in 10 or 11 hours. Sides, I'm too dang old.

Where do you live? One of my best friends ever is a great keyboard player and vocalist. He does the Carmel, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, and Monterey areas. He goes by "Sonny G. "A real musician" in every respect. He can play anything from Wynton Kelly and Bill Evans to Floyd Cramer. Really!!!

Scott Yee met him a few years back. He liked Sonny. Let me know if you heard of him, eh?

I bet your friends got a kick out of your tune Don. You seem to have a knack for making up cleaver songs. I remember you did impromptu song for one of your golf buddies when I saw you play in Benton. I think he was too drunk or hard of hearing to fully appreciate it though.

Bill is great. He is in Nashville cutting an album of his original songs. He has been there most of the summer. Not sure if he is coming back!
He told me he took his golf clubs with him, but he hasn't played in quite some time. Something about priorities I suppose.
Now, on the other hand, I've been playing a lot of golf. Had a hole-in-one last week, which of course entails a certain degree of luck!

You have to use the right brand of aiming fluid. I may try Gary's Kickapoo Joy Juice in the future.

When I caddied as a kid, blue was the preferred color when there was snow on the fairway. Caddy one time on a snow covered course and you learn to hate golf. At least they kept the greens snow free most of the time. And when the ball landed in a bunker it was a real riot to watch them trying to get that ball out using a sand wedge. Those were the days.

Cheers,

Gary cool

Well it snows here about once every two years, and we go out and roll around in it, trying to avoid places where the dog might have visited earlier.

LOL, Gary. "Learn to hate golf." Our acreage backs onto a golf course and I swear 90% of golfers can't hit a straight drive to save their lives. I must collect dozens of balls that have careened onto our place over the course of a summer. I'm sure that Mr. Mason isn't one of them - errrrr, right Don? . . . Don? . . . Don?

Snow is why I wanted to move to the Florida Keys 35 years ago, but my wife won't do it. Old coots like me shouldn't shovel snow, especially when it gets this deep.

Gimme "Cold margarettas and tall senioritas smilin with long dark hair" any day.

Two things I do not miss since moving into this great new apartment complex...shoveling snow, and mowing the lawn (known in Quebec as coup de grass).

I don't mind foul weather, as we get our share of it here on the island, as long as I can stay inside.

Can't sail south till 2015 because 2014 is booked solid with wall to wall music jobs. Over the years I've lost many, many jobs due to snow and freezing rain, neither of which I will drive in again. Inronically, National Pen Company, the folks where I get my pens and calendars for advertising, just sent me a sample ice scraper for car windhshields with my name, address and telephone number engraved on it. As much as I hate the thought of it, that kind of weather is just a few short weeks away.

Damned I hate winter,

"CONGRATS on the ace !!! that's not your first is it? "

It's number four, at least for which I have witnesses. They were all well hit shots that happened to go in. I have seen some that were total flukes, but result is the same! This was 154 yards with 7 iron. One hop and rolled two feet into the cup!
Good news is that I'm in the hole-in-one club at our course, and now everyone in it is charged $10. on their bills, and I get the pool in merchandise in the pro shop. Should be 5-600 dollars. I'll buy some Christmas presents!

I wouldn't want to be in your neighborhood when susan opens up a new set of golf clubs and a couple golf cart batteries with her name on the package. Ya better come up with something really nice for that Cajun lady or she'll make you flinch every time you swing a golf club. wink

Cheers,
