Bill Abacus might have won the battle but the war is still raging on and there's nothing like a wounded old warrior to turn the tables and Diki is a hardened foot soldier, Roland -V- Wersi
I know who my money is on, having said that Wersi have been down and out more times Sony Liston, but they are still crawling about on the floor

Tony

What on earth are you on about (Yes I know you started the thread)

Apart from you, no one has even mentioned Wersi in the Thread so why bring up something that has no relevance. (The thread is about a sales chart)

As to battle, then I have just pointed out the relevant section where Roland arrangers are can be found, (It’s no different to posting a link for someone that cannot find what they are looking for) so again your comment has no relevance to the thread.

Bill

Yep,

Your right, perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned Wersi, no one else would, just thought I would give it a plug for you, not that you need any help, just me being thoughtful, I will try not to push the Wersi thingy again, you have my word bow

I just wondered why you mentioned Audya at #17, while Audya 5 is at #10.

No big deal. as my Audya is worth more to me than any of them.

Same difference... keys in that survey do not include the home keyboards for ranking. Be interesting to see how Roland would stack up if included.

Here is the total 'Keys' ranking... no MOTL or TOTL arranger in that list whatsoever... http://www.thomann.de/gb/topseller_taky.html

Cheap Yamaha's ($160 ones!) rule the roost... Maybe we are kidding ourselves when we think our market segment means anything to these guys one way or the other!

Best sellers here, at least to pros, and although we did sell quite a few Tyros models, were always the MOTL models, such as the S900, S910 and now S950 (and S750). It wasn't just keyboard players per se, but quite a number of vocalist/guitarists (solo acts) bought them as SMF players, whether it be commercial files, or songs recorded by themselves.

I have often been hired to record specific midi files that may have been popular local tunes or newer songs where commercial files weren't available.

I've also done private clinics to help the unfamiliar with how to operate or use for recording.

No one in the area uses a standalone midi file player/module because the PSR keyboards are relatively light, fairly small, and easily transported.

So it's not exclusively "keyboard" players that drive up the sales numbers.

Of course, you have to weight the numbers to dollar volume for obvious reasons, anyway.

LOL... wise words from the one person on our forum that has bought and sold nearly every arranger ever made!

Me, I've always pegged whether you are happy playing something by how LONG you play it for!

Had my trombone for 40 years..!
