Can't believe I got talked into doing a triple on Thursday.
I used this setup when I played multiples in the same building - simply unplug and roll to the next floor.

Notice the new Ipad holder. It is a Hercules. Works ok.

Very interesting. Only thing I would add is an acoustically transparent skirt on the front to hide the cart wheels, etc. Tell me, have you tried to use the ipad on the yamaha music rest, eliminating the holder? I have had success with a bit of velcro on the rest to keep it in place (soft side on tablet-very small piece).. No tower for the compact? Do you get enough highs with the base only?

Hi Sparky,
I have never used the Yamaha music rests with any of my keyboards but that is a good idea. With the adjustable holders I can get the Ipad as close as I want it to be.
Something to think about.

I know you work sitting down. It would appear the Rock"nRoller would prohibit you from sitting comfortably with your knees under the kb. Was that an issue you had to get used to? Also... no sustain or other pedals?

Hi Eddie,
I use this setup only when I am asked to play several places in the same building. Standing is ok for a short time but extended periods is hard for me. I also don't play as well standing as I do sitting. But this setup makes it possible to play doubles and triples at the same place - just unplug and roll to the next floor.

At one time when I was using a pair of Bartettas I sat the speakers on each end of the Rock And Roller cart, then sat the keyboard on blocks of foam atop the speakers. The foam was to protect the keyboard from the speaker vibration. Same kind of situation - two jobs in the same building. It worked great.

Good looking rig, Deane,

Deane, how would that Hercules holder go with the Apple iPad cover on the iPad?

Would it still fit in the holder arms?

Thanks

Dennis

PS: just did a search on that question - it (ipad) apparently does not fit in the Hercules with the cover on so no need for a reply smile

Dennis,
I have the original iPad and very few holders fit it at all. I was using a GigEasy and it did fit with the cover on. As you discovered, the Hercules will not accommodate the cover. The Hercules is designed to be used in Portrait mode but it works ok in Landscape mode, the way I use it.

Cheers Deane, thanks smile I have seen the GigEasy, but was never really impressed with it. That Hercules looks the business though wink
