Ron, do you really think the QSC k8 would cover a 1,300 seat auditorium? shocked

Maybe a Podium 802 grin

prob not , I have been in a few situations with those speakers I have played a couple of Gyms it would not be my choice for that larger arena I would use my full system DSR 15 DSR 12 K-8 I have a set of all that is 3000 wt per side but believe it or not those K-8 have pulled there weight in many situations in biger clubs I do a lot of Elk Lodge gigs and I play the Big room with those prob 500-700 seats and they do a great Job there is a thresh hold wall that they will have for the high end so in your case prob not. but I have been very impressed with them and highly recomend them for what they do for the size they are.

Public address for a venue is totally different than filling it with decent volume, flat frequency spectrum music.

Simply talking to a 1500 seat room, a pair of K8's would be more than enough. The horns have a pretty good dispersion pattern, and the sound is pretty even across the field. Put me down as a fan of the QSC K series. Used them in various capacities a few times, hell of a loud bang for the buck, clean as a whistle.

Not a cheap whistle, but what'a you want for free... a rubber biscuit?!

Actually, Ron and Diki are probably right..the 8's most likely would have done the job...My part was to play music not speech, but as little as I had to push with the Cubes..I am sure 8's would have worked too..
