Much as I like it, I think I will sell it and use my PA3X.
It can include Edirol Controller keyboard if you want, already programmed to call up sounds, variations, endings, etc.
Includes power supply and tons of styles.
$650. $750 with Controller.

Wow Don..You are leaving yourself naked.....first the E50 (old standby) and now your controller set up with BK7m....

I think I see a BK9 on the horizon smile

Well, the PA3X is really good. I have the laptop for backup if needed.
We'll have to wait and see about the BK9!

Don, I don't know much about sound modules so this may be a dumb question but how old is the unit your selling and has there been any changes to it since it conception that would not be on your module? Thanks Ed

Sorry to hear that; but I'm glad for you. Just curious was there something you didn't like about the unit? Ed

About the only thing I didn't like was having to have so many components and their related power supplies in my setup.
I had an external vocal processor/harmonizer, which required a foot pedal and power supply. I had a laptop, and its power supply for lyrics since the BK doesn't display text files. I had to have an external screen IF I wanted to see lyrics from midi files played on the BK. I had to have a mixer and its power supply.
Of course I had a keyboard controller, and it's power supply, and sustain pedal, plus the Roland foot pedal. I was able to get this all into my setup, but was fighting to keep it looking neat. By the time I found a slot for my digital recorder and mouse for the keyboard, I was out of room, plus some.
With the Korg PA3X, the mic, harmonizer, mixer, MP3 player, text files, lyrics, etc., are all self contained. All I really need is the keyboard, stand, Korg EC5 foot switch and sound system.
Much easier and neater looking, and many more controls.
Others may not need all the peripherals I used!

Don - thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question. I'm guessing that the sounds and functions were good and professional. Just a yes or no would be great! Thanks Ed

Hi Ed. If you're curious how the bk7m sounds, you can hear and see me use it on my "You lucky dog" composition at my YouTube link below. I think the unit's sound quality
Is good. However, I recently sold it to eventually get an arranger like the pa3x or other for greater convenience, like Don said.

Hal - thanks for the reply. Enjoyed the composition as well as the playing. My intent with bk7 is to use it at home rather than using it for gigging, so setup convenience will not be a key factor. Still undecided and looking.

Don - thanks again for taking the time to replay reply.

Ed

Part of the inconvenience for me was the design placement of having the control buttons like the variations too close together for easy targeting by hand. I would recommend a foot controller if you do get the BK. Enjoy. It does have very good quality sounds and styles.
