Since I did the pen update on my audya the sound is not as good I think it lost the live feel and they changed the guitar sound I was using I and won't let me edit to the way I want I had been really been looking forward to the update but I am so disappointed they didn't do any work on the country styles I have tried to create my own but I can't find a drum samples that comes close to what I want so in conclusion I think I'll have to give up ketron not good enough

WoW Brian,

Are you sure about this, you must be the only one that has said this. can you expand a bit more on what your problem is, I can see you going down to James and getting a MS Groove.

Brian,

I agree that some of the re-balancing of the styles did cause them to lose a little of the punchy live sound.

I have edited several of them and changed the volume settings which helped make them sound more live.

I play about 25% country with my Duo. I think the Country Styles are pretty good, however like yourself some NEW one's would have been nice. Experiment a little with them, try different styles with different songs. It all comes out good.

As far as the Guitar voices, I think they are exceptional on the Audya. My partner play's Rhythm Guitar with me and always says he can't compete with the Audya's guitars.

We all have our favorite sounds to use for the solo instrument and get used to a certain favorite.

Keep in mind, your listening audience will hear solo voicing differently than you. What you may think is so-so, they may think is AWESOME.

Most of the compliments I receive are from the Guitars, Sax's and Brass instruments.

Don't give up, The Audya is unsurpassed in the authenticity of solo voice department.

Keep playing and sharing your talent with others.

That's what its all about!

Jim

I do a LOT of country, and have been quite happy with the styles overall. Be sure to try the Shlager styles.

My Audya is in the car. I will look at the job tonight. But look in the Party Bank.
There is Country Ballad, Scan Bug, Scand Schlager, etc.
Also, in Ballads, there are two Country Beats, Soft Beat, and 12/8 Ballad that is a great Country fast waltz. In Folk, there is Quebec Folklore that is great for Cajun music, and Mexican.
The Audya has some styles in UNUSUAL banks.

Brian3331,

Yes, you can use your LIVE AUDIO Drums in AUDYA. Make sure you cut the samples to the required length of the Arranger you intend to assign the sample to, e.g 4, 5, 6, ...32 measures. Copy these samples into the AUDYA's Hard Drive - User Audio Drums folder, using the format Country_A@110.wav, Country_B@120.wav ... etc (where 120 is the BMP of the wave sample).

From your style, press the STYLE VIEW button and press F1 (Drums) until USER AUDIO DRUMS is displayed. Use the data value wheel to select your wave drums e.g Country_A@120. Now, when you press START, Arranger A will play the audio drums you've just installed. Repeat for all the other Arranger parts and press SAVE to save the new style. When next you recall this style, it will automatically load up the equivalent Audio drum loops!

As for the styles, we simply balanced them a little more ... and lowered the lower end of the drums (STYLE-MODE - DRUMS - Low Fq which used to be +3!). You can always revert to this setting ... then save the style once more.

Thanks,

AJ
